Awarded Best Single Cask Whisky in Australia (2024), Apera 100 is the crown jewel of Amber Lane’s releases to date. Matured almost entirely in a single Australian Apera (sherry-style) cask—aside from a short detour into an Oloroso cask to build even greater complexity—this whisky is luxurious and deeply layered. It reflects meticulous craftsmanship and bold vision. Apera 100 is rich in flavour and story alike, and a worthy flagship for the Amber Lane distillery. We still aren't sure how we managed to get this one as there isn't much left of it around.

Nose:
Lush and layered—honeyed sweetness, earthy forest floor, soft mushrooms and rich toffee.

Palate:
Luxurious texture with indulgent flavours: ginger nut biscuits, poached pears, sugar-glazed apricots, walnut oil, treacle and demerara sugar. A savoury undercurrent of damp earth ties it all together.

Finish:
Long, warm and deeply satisfying—spicy, nutty, and sweet with a gentle taper into toasted wood and syrup.
