Ardbeg Spectacular is the latest in a long line of limited editions from the distillery. But, this time, and for the first time, the whisky has been matured in port wine casks and then married with classic bourbon barrels.

Nose:
Perfumed and aromatic with lavender, incense candles, a touch of leather, and almond nuttiness. A splash of water reveals woodsmoke, damp peat moss, menthol, and antique leather.

Palate:
Salty but viscous mouthfeel with savoury, smoky flavours of eucalyptus oil, salted caramel toffee, smoked pecan nuts, and woodsmoke. A background sweetness of smoky pear crumble and fudge.

Finish:
Warm and lingering, combining the savoury and sweet notes in a balanced harmony.
