Located on the most westerly point of the British mainland, Ardnamurchan Distillery is known for its sustainability. With a local hydro-electric generator for cooling water, forest wood chips for heating, and by-products used to support local agriculture, this distillery is a model of eco-conscious design. Owned and operated by Adelphi, it produces a softly peated Highland single malt whisky matured in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso Sherry Casks.

Nose:
Dark dried fruits like raisins, figs, and dates greet you first, with a hint of prune syrup. White pepper and balsamic glaze add a spicy, tangy touch. Barrel char and earthy tones mingle with a maritime note and faint peat smoke.

Palate:
Raisins and figs lead the way, followed by salty ocean spray and peaty earthiness. The alcohol is smooth, creating a pleasantly numbing sensation. It's well-balanced with rich flavors.

Finish:
Long and lingering with dark fruits and earthiness. Soft salted caramel notes and a touch of menthol round it out.
