Founded in 1817, Bladnoch is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries. Yet today's Bladnoch is effectively a rebirth. Under Dr Nick Savage, they've resisted the temptation to simply recreate history and instead focus on a distinctly modern Lowland style. The 16 Year Old, matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks selected by the Master Distiller, isn't trying to be a sherry bomb. It's about elegance, structure and refinement.

Nose:
Rich and funky, dark, nutty chocolate, dates and furniture varnish.

Palate:
Citrus, caramel and honey with warming spices and fruitcake.

Finish:
Long and gently drying with oak spice and almost tropical notes.
