Tasting Notes
A celebration of Islay’s terroir, this single malt is crafted entirely from barley grown on the island, distilled, and matured at Bruichladdich. It exemplifies the island’s unique climate and soil in every sip and embodies the spirit of Islay, offering depth, complexity.
Nose:
Delicate floral tones blend with sweet malt and ripe grain, accompanied by hints of pepper and nutmeg. Layers of creamy vanilla, butterscotch, and coconut emerge, followed by fragrant notes of peach, melon, banana bread, and warm brown sugar.
Palate:
Creamy vanilla and zesty lemon take the lead, enhanced by nutmeg spice and sweet malt. Warm porridge and popcorn textures reflect the barley-forward style, evolving with bursts of tropical fruit, peach, and sweet citrus. Marine hints surface with water, enriching the viscous, balanced profile.
Finish:
Sweet stoned fruits linger, merging into vanilla custard, coconut, and a delicate floral trace for a smooth, satisfying conclusion.
