Double Wood continues that philosophy with confidence, marrying classic American oak sweetness with the elegance of old Portuguese tawny barriques first filled back in 2018. The result is a spirit-forward whisky that keeps Kinglake’s toffee, vanilla and caramel DNA intact while adding a subtle layer of French oak complexity.

Nose:
Toffee, vanilla and caramel from the ex-bourbon casks, joined by gentle French oak spice, light leather and a hint of milk chocolate.

Palate:
Soft tobacco, chewy caramel, vanilla cream, warm toffee, milk chocolate from the four grain mashbill and a touch of fortified richness from the tawny barriques.

Finish:
Long and satisfying with lingering caramel, gentle spice, light oak and a subtle return of soft leather.
