The Scalasaig Maiden Voyage Blended Malt scotch whisky is a release of only 3,000 bottles; ten specially selected casks of Single malt whisky with a distinctly maritime style were vatted by masters of their craft and re-racked into first-fill European sherry oak casks to finish their maturation.

Nose:
Feel the sea breeze. Warm spices and sea salt greet you, blending smoothly with mahogany and genuine leather. It's like stepping into a classic shoe shop. Rich fruits like oranges and raisins hint at a smoky old-fashioned. Even with time, the ashy peat smoke and meaty undertones stay strong.

Taste: 
Rich flavors continue with sweet notes of candied orange and dried apricots. Spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and allspice unfold slowly, each balanced and distinct. Earthiness and soft peat linger, giving way to a subtle woodsmoke flavor, less medicinal but deeply satisfying.

Finish:
Pretty lingering spice and alcoholic tingle on the tongue stay behind once the liquid has gone. Almost coming full circle, that leathery note kinda returns as the last profile note.
