Crafted on the shores of Westernport Bay in Victoria, this is the second edition of Westernport’s celebrated Muscat Cask—a whisky born from vision, scraped and toasted barrels, and bold spirit. Founders David McLeod and Scott Hooper built their distillery from scratch in 2018, mastering every step—grain to bottle—including coopering antique fortified wine casks. Batch 2 is aged first in ex‑bourbon barrels, then finished in antique Australian muscat casks over 50 years old, allowing rich fortified sweetness to develop alongside creamy new make. It won a Gold Medal at the 2025 Melbourne Royal Australian International Spirits Awards, and it drinks like it: lush, deep, and deserving of the praise. It's Aussie whisky at its inventive best.
