Woodwater has never been shy about pushing boundaries, and this twelfth release is a perfect example of their bold ambition. A 100-litre French oak cask, seasoned with Pedro Ximénez and steeped in the memory of brandy, became the canvas for a whisky unlike any other. Layered from the start with a complex mash bill - pilsner malt, crystal, chocolate malt, and a touch of UK peat - this spirit spent nearly six years maturing into something deeply expressive. The result is dark, powerful, and unapologetically indulgent, where sherry richness collides with subtle brandy echoes and a whisper of smoke.

Nose:
Brooding sherry tones with roasted nut skins, earthy depth, and a thread of peat lurking in the background.

Palate:
Dense and textured, balancing tart berries and grape skins with bitter chocolate, jus-like richness, and sun-dried stone fruits, all wrapped in seasoned oak.

Finish:
Assertive and drying, peppery, lingering nuttiness, and a final echo of dark sweetness.
